Wicker bags made of palm leaves have a long tradition in many parts of the world. Like in Mexico where our basket bags are gained from local palm trees. During its growth, the palm loses its leaves about four to seven times a year. The leaves can grow up to 2 meters long.
Our craftsman Armando and his team specialize in sustainable and biodegradable handicrafts and therefore use only natural palm trees of the region.
Each bag has a manufacturing process of 4 weeks. First, the raw material must be dried. Afterwards, the many individual parts of the bag are braided and then dyed afterwards. After a long drying time of about 2 weeks, details as the handles and the closure of the bag are being attached and finalized.
You can also find the Quesadilla bags in three more colorways here.
